Kings fall in NBA power ranking

I don't hold too much stock in all the preseason rankings for this and that. I'd rather wait till the season starts and our play speaks for itself but I guess the writers are as bored as we are.

the nuggets are a young team, but most of them are as good as their gonna get; like camby and martin, nene, boykins, najera.....

martin and nene are getting better. martin was hurting bad last year...nene has a tons of potential.

plus you dont want your entire team to be potential. we have a nice mix of vets and youth.

this is the same team that had NO late season problems last year, finished the season with the best record in the league after the all-star break and still got used, folded and flushed down the toilet by the spurs.

as would any team. getting killed by the spurs is NOTHING to be ashamed of. we played them VERY tough nearly every game.

no way losing to the spurs in a playoff series can take away waht the team accomplished.

The only team that got used, folded, and flushed down the toilet was the kings. I don't know if u remember, but the nugz won game one against the spurs and every other game was extremely competitive. Don't make comments like that unless u got ur stories straight.

thank you. nice post.

Personally? I would much rather see the Kings start out lower in the power rankings. That way, should they stumble a bit coming out of the gate, we won't have people lining up along Pioneer Bridge to jump off.

I'm from the I-80 foothills, we would use the Forest Hill Bridge. That pic is priceless.

The only team that is clearly above everyone in the west are the spurs w/o a doubt . If they are healthy , they are a lock for the WCF. It is the kings turn to make a trip back to the WCF to set up a showdown .

I did get a kick out of the seeing the Kings listed before the Mavs...ofcourse I didn't find it as interesting as Mavs fans did LMAO

Why can't the season just start whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyy????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I think we'll see another change in the power rankings as training camp opens. In particular, there is news that Tony Parker has tired legs from the Euro championships and benched himself. If he is slow to start look for other teams to start a bit faster.

But real power rankings should indicate who will likely begin to mesh 3-4 weeks into the season. On paper I think putting the Kings at #8 is a knock. BUT..... that could also be a great incentive. AND if they can stay relatively injury free, no major 10-20-30 game hits for the starters or top 2-3 off the bench, then rankings now, as many have said, won't mean much.

In the Pacific Division the Kings have every reason to look at taking the division.
