Got a random Kings comment that doesn't seem to quite fit anywhere else? Feel free to post it here.

GO KINGS!!!

#The Kings badly need any back up PG who has the capability to get into the lane and create no matter what other limitations they have. All we currently have is Collison.
Guys like Phil Pressey could certainly help our 2nd unit bringing in pace and play-making. Hell even Raymond Felton who's 5th in line on the Mavericks once he's healthy could help us in that regard. Other names could be guys like Kendall Marshall, Ridnour just anyone who can get into the lane

The Davisless Pelicans look a lot better than the Boogieless Kings.

Their roster outside of Davis is really lacking talent and their coach sucks.

someone explain this?

I'd start by saying that their roster doesn't lack talent the way ours does.
Holiday > Collison
Evans > McLemore
Asik > anybody on our front line
Anderson > Landry

Asked this in another thread, but does anyone know if DWill has hit all his free throws in one trip to the line (when taking more than 1) any time this season? Or if he has, what that percentage is?

Like the cap'n says, rudy is better, maybe, than Holliday or evans, but the next 4 on the pels are actually better than our next 4. And certainly they provide more balance, with a clear shooter in Anderson and a clear rock solid defender in Asik.

I wonder if the reason we didn't play Casspi last 3 games was to both show off Williams (or maybe an indication that PDA/Vivek like D-Will) and that we are trading Casspi in some sort of package. I'm sure teams would have been impressed by his play as a starter and reverse for the most part.

Next few days are interesting also I noticed Kennath Faried after coming back from a ankle injury missed 2night after coming back for one game, and PDA/Vivek (has ties to PDA) love no defense dunkers so maybe keep an eye out on that one.

"We want to be like Spurs" - does this statement belong to Vivek?
If yes, I would like to have him as a coach.

Apparently Kings practice today was late starting as Michael Malone was saying goodbye to players and they lingered longer than perhaps anticipated. Pushed back PDA media session originally thought to be around 1:15 by about an hour.

Well at least they allowed him to say goodbye. There is a sinking feeling in my stomach, that this might get a lot worse before it gets better. From 5-1 and playing hard to 11-13 (still not bad for our previous standards and Cousins out) and probably our locker room leader/coach gone, with 99% of the basketball world laughing at us and saying "same old Kings."

What in the world has Sacramento done to continuously be afforded such a lack of professionalism, disloyalty, and general incompetence to run an NBA franchise properly? It's like a modern day curse.

Didn't Cousins say in the pre-presser that he didn't have a chance to see Malone yet?

Maybe. There's so much flying around on Twitter right now hard to keep up, what's reliable and often what can be clear in so few characters.
I listened to the pre-presser, I did think he said that.

Stories coming out of the Kings PR team are not all adding up. Not that there's necessarily anything to see here, I mean they DID fire the coach and we DO know about that but come on, guys. Did Cousins know, or not? Did he meet with Malone, or not? I don't want to see him saying one thing and you saying another.

Oh, come on! A curse! Let's not be that serious. Laughing stock? If so, who cares. No matter what, we are playing tomorrow night, etc. sit back and relax, it will all play out. With any luck, none of Vivek's hair will fall out.

Perhaps the word curse was not appropriate, but the Kings have had probably one of the most, if not the most, unprofessional owners in all of sports for a long time with the Maloofs. They were trading players for cash back because they were broke and everyone knew it. They weren't horrible for the first few years because they were rich, were willing to spend, and were really involved in regards to the games. Then they lost their money, and things got bad for us.

Now, we have an owner with lots of money, but no basketball experience. He, however, thinks he is brilliant and is like a puppet master from afar, dictating everything. I care about being the laughingstock of the NBA once again. We can't ever get rid of this label of being utterly pathetic and the "same old Kings." It affects our future. Coaches and players alike are now on high alert that even if you do well, if you don't fit into what they (AKA Vivek) want, you are gone. No other team in the NBA has been remotely as trigger happy to firing coaches as we have been. That stuff wears on you as a player.

Oh yes, just like the Spurs, who value continuity above all else and last fired their coach 17 years ago.
That is all because coach Pop has always been good.

We are lucky our owner really cares about winning and continuously find ways to upgrade the team. He was true to his words when he said the team will be graded according to winning or losing.

He could have stayed with an under-performing and inexperienced coach, forget that we are losing winnable games, and stay on our path to doom - all to save money.

We should be thankful for an owner like Vivek.
