Kings @ Celtics Game Discussion

Well Greene is finally in...even though we've been out of the game since the 3rd quarter. Maybe Greene plays really, really bad in practice? I would think that he would get more playing time than with 4 minutes to go in a blow out...

Did anyone else see what happened when Salmons came out earlier? He didn't give anyone any high fives or talk to the coach or ANYTHING...just walked STRAIGHT to his seat.
Ive been watching the way he has played the last 2 games and all I can think of when I see him is selfish *******...

since the majority of games i see are via league pass, i have to listen to the opposing teams announcers a lot...

and the last few games, they've been mentioning just that. that the team doesn't seem to like each other or something. chemistry isn't there.

i imagine the losing has a lot to do with it...and i figure some of the more pouty vets aren't helping things either.

That sounds like Salmons all right.

I hope we can trade him to Portland for some doodie that expires this offseason.

All teams gameplan in the NBA for going against the Kings.

Shoot nothing but 3's. Clean up the rebounds on misses.

Yeah, I just noticed Beno did that!

Haha....Whats the last Petrie signing that didnt end in disaster?

Couldn’t catch the game but I did get a chance to listen to the last several minutes. Maybe I’m lucky I didn’t see it.

Since people are talking about John. There’s this piece about John in Espn. I’m really worried that John’s attitude will have a negative effect on what we get in a trade for him.

Trade Watch: Top wings on the block

John Salmons, Kings

Salmons is having a career season, but he doesn't fit into the long-term future of the franchise. The Kings have been shopping him all season. Despite his talent, he's never really been known as a chemistry guy in either Philadelphia or Sacramento.

His versatility, defense and ability to handle the ball have attracted a number of suitors. But buyers beware -- this guy has to start. Take him out of the starting lineup, and his numbers drop and his pouting increases.

Chance of trade: 55 percent

Nice writeup.. It's actually VERY accurate for Chad Ford.

We were involved in another NBA record tonight!!

Having gone 0-4 on a four-game road trip for the fourth time this season and fallen to 3-22 on the road overall, the Kings are now 0-20 against the Eastern Conference. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, that is an NBA record (previously 17, set by Denver in the 1997-98 season).

How is it so difficult to comprehend that this team needs to committ to playing Hawes and JT? This isn't rocket science.

Losing culture....

...I say we keep Natt around 1 more year so he can 'tard us into another high draft pick. We get some youth. Then we get get a coach who can get our kids to play with some energy. Someone like....Reggie Theus.

Haha...We're awful. Oh well, its the Celts.

Do you think having a moron around like Natt would be healthy for our youngins?... not me, send his *** packing after this season.

No offense meant to anyone...this is just a general observation.

Reading your comments, I have two thoughts:

1. Some of you are delusional. This is a 10-win team on the tail end of a brutal 4 games in 5 nights road trip and you're assessing the team by body language?

2. I love Kings fans. We're conflicted, we're confused, we're angry, we're disappointed, but we're still loyal to the team we love. We must all be nuts.

;)

I know I am.

Or masochists.

:p

That too.

But seriously folks (with respects to Joe Walsh), if nothing else it was a great game by JT. I remember a few years back, after we lost Webber, many of us felt we were a solid PF away from being relevant. And while we may have lost a few other pieces since then, we now have our PF. Hopefully in a few years he can be a solid 15/10/3 kind of guy. If that's so, he could start on most teams in the league, and for once, it just feels good to have a promising young 4. He may not be Chris Webber, but, with Martin and Hawes, Thompson represents one of the first real steps forward we have taken in a long time. That feels good, and makes this season damned near bearable.

Well in his last 10 starts he's been 14.9/7.0, which is a pretty good start. No real blocks to speak of, though.
