Greetings, fellow Kings fans! It's Kings game day!!!
And this, of course, is the Kings game PBP thread, where I - arguably the most homer of resident homers - do my best to give those of you who cannot see the game a running narrative. Kind of like radio but you have to read it instead of listening to it ... and there aren't as many commercials.

Speaking of commercials, let's get this one out of the way right away. Everything here at Kingsfans.com is possible because of the generosity and dedication of our esteemed board owner, the "Grand Poobah," Jeremy. If you would like to help defray the costs of keeping Kingsfans.com up and running as the #1 Sacramento Kings Online Community then please consider becoming a Contributing Member. There's no obligation, of course, but our Contributing Members receive a few little perks such as larger avatars, nifty dark purple bolded user names, customizable user titles AND first refusal for things like tickets to "KF goes to the Kings game" nights. We just had a great get-together for the Kings home opener and, to be honest, I firmly believe it was our presence that urged the Kings to the win. If you've ever sat in front of Bibbylicious and her ear-splitting whistle or kennadog and her spine-tingling noise that defies description, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Okay, that was the commercial.
I've got my favorite coffee brewing for the game and I'm starting a fire in the woodstove as the temperature outside seems to be dropping like a rock. I'm wearing my purple slippers, as any good homer at home in front of a warm fire would be wont to do, and I've got on my nice long-sleeved Kings shirt and my crystal Martin necklace. Corny? Probably but I'm pulling out all the stops. The only thing I haven't done is create a toilet paper holder voodoo doll of Lebron James. Those who have been here for the playoffs KNOW the power of the TPH voodoo dolls but I have to be careful. I can't waste their power this early in the season.
So, Kings fans, settle back and get ready for an evening of Kings basketball. My only decision is whether to watch News10 and put up with Angela Tsai or turn to ESPN and risk hearing the dulcent tones of He Who Shall Not Be Named.
All together now...
GO KINGS!!!
