• The Maloofs and the You Foundation are teaming up with NEWS 10 and KHTK to help raise relief funds for survivors. At the Sacramento Kings game on January 11, fans can purchase a Kings Tsunami Relief Ribbon Car Magnet to support relief efforts in Southeast Asia. The Kings Tsunami Relief Ribbon Car Magnet will be available for $5 at both the Team Store and Kings.com. All proceeds will benefit UNICEF's international relief effort to provide lifesaving supplies to victims.
 
It says they're available at the team store and kings.com...

I suggest people go to kings.com on TUESDAY, when the ribbons are supposed to be available. My other suggestion would be to call Maloof Sports or KHTK or News10 and ask them if the ribbons will be available in other locations.

I'm moving this thread to the Lounge since it isn't really about the team.

In adition, Whole Foods is also taking donations at their check out stands, but you will not get a Kings magnet... plenty of good ways to help.
 
And...there are boxes on the counter of all Raley's/Bel Air checkout stands which you can donate to for the Tsunami relief fund. (not for the magnets :P )
 
Be VERY careful which charities you choose. It's a good idea to stick with the well-known ones. There are slime-ball people out there trying to capitalize off the tragedy and the generosity of caring people.
 
they do not have them as of 11:38am at the store, they are supposed to be in at game time or possibly before. I will be going there again tomorrow, should anyone who is out of state wish one, pm me and I'll see what I can do for you. :)

Yup... of course there are just plain ineffecent and inept chaities all over. It is good to see how much of your dollar is going to work before giving. Here is a site I use a lot, they use Bricklayer type grades, but there are lots of other good sites that rate/evlauate charities.

I would like to publicly thank Prophetess for donating and sending a magnet to me. I love it!! I have it on my fridge. I am afraid it would disappear from my car.

I ordered mine online and didn't recieve it until 2 weeks later. Got worried cause in the email, it send it'll only be 7-9 days shipping.

I was glad when I recieved it and the magnet is on my mom's car now. :)
