Welcome, fellow Kings fans!

Another day, another game, and hopefully another road victory.

As piksi mentioned in his game discussion thread, only 9 more days of waiting to see if the other shoe is going to drop. Will Petrie make one more trade? Will we go to the playoffs with the guys we have now? I am not predicting anything. Geoff Petrie is the one who will pull the trigger on any trade, and I have no reason to doubt him. I'm not going to worry about anything because I know and have faith that whatever Petrie does, trade or not, will be what he truly believes to be in the best interests of the team. And that's good enough for this Kings fan.

**Commercial break** As always, I'm able to do this play-by-play because of the dedication and generosity of our board owner, Jeremy. Sure, Bricklayer and I may guard the palace, but Jeremy is the one behind the curtain - the wizard that keeps all the balls up in the air at the same time. If you would like to help defray the costs of keepings kingsfans.com up and running, please consider becoming a Contributing Member. There's a thread with information stickied at the top of the forum. **End Commercial Break**

There are several ways for members to enjoy the Kings game-time experience here at Kingsfans.com You can follow the game in the PBP thread, you can talk about the game in piksi's game discussion thread, you can join CHAT at mIRC, server: irc.bludgeon.org, channel: #Kingsfans. In addition, there are online radio broadcasts of games available at www.thegamelive.com We aren't associated with that site and they generally do not use Kings broadcasters, but if you don't mind listening from the other team's point of view (something that personally drives me totally insane ;) ) you might give it a try.

All my Kings totems are in their new LUCKY spots. I have my socks, slippers, shirt and jersey ready for wear. My blankey is on my lap already because it's COLD up here in the forest...and drizzly...and all-in-all a perfect day to stay inside and watch a Kings game.

I just sent an email to the Kings:

To Geoff Petrie and the Kings:

THANK YOU for Cuttino Mobley! It is such a joy for a long-time Kings fan to see the excitement, the heart and the dedication this young man is already showing for our team. He is truly a KING - both in deeds and spirit.

I am ordering a Mobley jersey to show my support of him. I hope to be attending another Kings game later this year, although I live over two hours away. I will be wearing that Mobley jersey.

It is a joy to watch him play, to watch his enthusiasm and dedication. It was sad to see Doug go, but since he did, I am overjoyed to see that his replacement is also a KING to the bone.

Thank you again, not only for now but for ALL the joy this team has brought me over the years.

GO KINGS!!!!!

Sincerely,
...................
I may not have mentioned it recently, but I LOVE THIS TEAM!

Good move VF. I think he just became a vocal leader to this team. If he didn't care, he would have just let the refs do their thing.

Nice e-mail, VF! Cuttino has been a nice fit here, and we are glad to have him.

Speaking of e-mails, I got one from the NBA today, asking if I had purchased my All Star gear yet?
No, I do not have any All-Star gear yet, nor will I be purchasing any, since none of my teams players are there. Come to think of it, I'm not planning on watching this year either.
My reply;)
Maybe they will fine me:D

Bravo right back atcha, KG! Someone in the NBA main office apparently didn't even think about some Kings fans being perhaps a tad less than enthusiastic about spending BIG BUCKS for a bunch of crap that would only serve as reminders of the Year of the Shun...

Oh boy...and House Party just gets worse and worse. This time, Koz is standing in front of a big fan, talking about how it's always windy, etc. Corny does not begin to define that opening bit.

Another Royal Court Dancer is being featured. I have to admit these little bio snips haven't been that bad.

Grant and Jerry reminiscing with Bill Wennington, who is now working with the Bulls organization. Bill played twice with the Kings - the 90-91 season and then again a couple of games in the 99-00 season. He's ANOTHER former Kings player who has a lot of good memories of the Kings AND the fans!!!

Keys to the game:

• The three "substiteers" - Matt, Mo and Darius
• "Oscar" time for Webber - Oscar Robertson efforts from Webber
• Play goalie - Kings need to try it.

Bibby, Cat, Barnes, Webber and Brad for the Kings.

One thing about Kevin Martin - He is QUICK! I could swear I actually saw him in the corner and at the top of the key at the same time. :D
