KG Beans Fan in the Head

And he gets wheeled off the court on a stretcher

The silliest thing I have seen in the NBA in 20 years....

KG ejected.

Dorky fan already counting the dollars he hopes to collect in frivoulous lawsuit.

KG didn't even throw the ball hard , just upset over a foul call.

I have got beamed in the head countless time playing ball....shake off and kept playing. A basketball is full of air, not cement.

KG deserves zero dollars in fine , zero in game suspensions, and the fan should be banned from NBA arenas for life for being an idiot.

I look forward to league interpretation of this. Did anyone else see it????

That is why teams carry liability insurance. I wish that I would have seen the incident.

A basketball could snap a neck. It depends on the neck and the velocity of the ball. I remember seeing some NBA footage of Bonzi and Rasheed up in Portland. They were just about to enter the tunnel to the dressing room. They turned ariund, huddled, and grabbed a ball. There was a player or two talking to a referee at about half-court. Rasheed lofted up a rainbow shot and hit the guy on top of the head. Bonzi and Sheed almost laughed themselves to death when the ball bounced on the guy's head. I have always thought, man what a good way to break somebody's neck. Young men and their choices. Oh well it beats drugs, fast cars, and gunplay.

I just got done watching the game. It was at home.

The guy barely got hit, there was no intent by KG to actually do that. He was just frustrated by the foul call (along with a couple other things I bet). All it was just a light drop/toss of the ball at like 1-2 FT distance (the ball coming down, not flying or going straight), and the ball hit guy in the face a bit. That gets KG ejected, then the guy gets taken off on the stretcher a bit later. The whole place was booing him. This was all with his daughter there, not the way to conduct yourself, IMO.

If I was the fan I wouldn't of wanted to cause any commotion or get anyone ejected, I would of just let it go and laughed and said it's okay. It was nothing.

What a pathetic baby...

Observe the new American metrosexual male.

They would have to shoot me to put me on a stretcher for that.

LOL

Well, this guy didn't look like a metrosexual at all. He was kinda hefty, late 30s/early 40s, bald head, facial hair, hoody shirt/collared shirt.

They showed the Grizlies vs Timberwolves game via satelite in England this evening and i saw the 'incident'.

I agree, there is no way that KG intentionally threw the ball at that fan he just lighlty flicked it to the baseline on the change of possession. I am surprised it even carried into the stands.

Still, all credit to Minnessota. They didnt let KG's absence wilt them. (I think KG was close to a triple double when he was ejected.) Ricky Davis stepped up and they prevailed.

The commentators said that the referee had no latitude to exercise discretion in cases where the ball is thrown into the stands. This seems strange to me. I would have thought that 'intention' was a key element in determining what action should or shouldnt be taken.

Interestingly, a little later in the game Davis found himself draped over a fan as he dived to save a ball going out of bounds. The fan didnt make a meal of it (Davis had ovbiously caught him on the side of the head).

Hopefully the KG incident will just blow over and the highlight reels will be of plays on the court rather than off it.

Marcus Banks and McCants also played a nice part in the win. KG was indeed close to a triple double, needed 3 more ast.

That was actually a camera guy Davis fell into, and he was holding the side of his head, yet no ambulances or stretches being wheeled in! ;)

It should also be noted the fans were booing the guy getting wheeled off on the stretcher..... that has to be a first...got absolutely no sympathy from anyone.

And rightfully so. What a wuss.

he got booed by the fans.... HAHAHAHAHA! i know that guy isnt broke either.... he had some nice seats.... shady people do shady things....... kinda lame if u ask me

I didn't see the game but they showed a reply this morning and the guy didn't even look hurt at first then later he's on a stretcher. Ridiculous.

He didn't at first, then played it up, as well as when the attendant came over to check on him, same for KG. Weird people...

The lure of easy money...

Unfortunately for "fan," the photos taken right after the incident don't even show any redness on his face. I don't think he's gonna be collecting those mega bucks he obviously was dreaming about...

Saw this story on CNN this morning. These are the types of "fans" that pee me off. KG is one of the last people who would something like that intentionally, but the lure of "easy money" is going to cause this guy to try and trash KG's reputation. It will not work, though.
