High scoring Kevin Martin played 5 1/2 seasons with Kings, probably best years of his 10+ year NBA career. I can remember so many Kings games where he was main reason we won with his offense or kept us hanging around against tough competition. Don't think I ever saw him miss critical free throw and seemed like he was always close to 90% from the stripe. Besides his outside shooting, Martin's slashing through the lane, drawing fouls was spectacular.

If Jason Williams is not a King, dishing highlight-worthy dimes and crazy pull-ups (even though many of those missed), then the Kings are probably not in Sacramento right now.

He was instrumental in the Kings' escaping the cellar/backwater of the NBA and actually being a relevant, important NBA team for a short (wondrous) time.

For me, that is more important than (mostly) worthless points, rebounds or free throws.

I will bet the 9th best will get about 20-25% of the votes. The people available all seemed relatively equal. I eliminated Ron-Ron as he wasn't here long but the rest are relatively similar. I took the logic of trying to see who I would want on the team right now. I suspect Grant, L-Train, Thorpe, Johnson, and Tisdale won't get many votes as a lot of posters didn't see them play.

Wayman Tisdale gets my vote here. I was lucky enough to see him play. He was a fantastic player, on and off the court.

Wayman Tisdale said:
I just like to make people happy.

sigh, the B52 Bummer, err... B52 Bonger... really all time top 10?? I hope somehow Rudy Gay and Nik Stauskas have long enough Kings careers to take care of that.

Can I retract my JWill vote and throw it to Tisdale?

He was a 2-time all star, including his first year here. That alone makes his consideration pretty reasonable.

Ok...that one I did not see coming at all. Not mostly the Christie voters either so...
