We kinda figured that would happen. This means that we really ought to get two more wins here - NO and a Love-less Minny are both beatable given the play we've seen over the last 3-4 games. Hopefully we can keep our level of play up and get these two wins before a tough home game against OKC.

I think we will be competitive against the thunder, its our only national Tv game of the year, you would think the guys will not want to look bad on national Tv, there should be a huge crowd for that one as well.

Pekovic might also get a more prominent role as he has been playing very well for them lately! He is good at getting the deep post position and difficult to stop once he has it. He also has guards that can get it to him at the right time.

Something we actually agree on. These next two games are basically must wins, especially with Love out. if they can't close these two out, any talks about 'turning the corner' are premature.

I don;t know. For some reason, whenever we put Donte on him, DOnte suddenly thinks he's Scotty Pippen and both shuts the guy down and scores 20 in a quarter.

Pekovic is one strong mofo. So is Cousins. Cousins should win this matchup IF the zebras let them bang. Can never tell with refs these days. One game they let everything go, the next they start calling hand checking left and right. Let's hope we get a crew that lets them play.

This is what I am worried about though! Both are physical but Cousins has a bit of an unfair reputation and I just worry that refs might call him for some tacky fouls and get him out of the game

I think it will be tough because there is an element of surprise which makes it difficult to prepare for. Couple that with the fact that Adelman might just be the best coach in the league at getting the best out of what he has and it will no doubt be tough!
By all means, its a pretty winnable game for us especially if we get the big 3 contributing! I am optimistic but it won't be easy!

Sometime the backup can come out and dominant because they rarely get thier chance...anything is possible.

OK, so it was Pekovic for 23 and 10. Close enough. Point is, you KNEW some scrub was going to have a big game.

What I feared would happen, did happen!
Pekovic is really strong and once he gets the deep low post position, he is difficult to move and I predicted they will get Pekmen to go at Cousins early to get him into foul trouble and out of the game for them to get ahead!
I have watched Pekovic come up as a youngster through the ranks at Partizan and have seen him blossom into best big man in Europe before he moved on to the NBA. I do know that he might not be the "smoothest" player out there but he mighty effective offensively one he gets his spot. When Minny signed him for that money, they got bagged but I was confident it was money well spent because Pekovic is a physical presence who is effective on offense and play within himself.
