6 points in 18 minutes off the bench in his Cavaliers debut. Seems improbable that his minutes are going to increase once Harden has been cleared.

If Kenny Atkinson valued defense that much, he wouldn't be trying to go into the playoffs with a starting backcourt of Donovan Mitchell and James Harden.Unless someone values defense
Not exactly my point but in the neighborhoodIf Kenny Atkinson valued defense that much, he wouldn't be trying to go into the playoffs with a starting backcourt of Donovan Mitchell and James Harden.
Cavs at full strength for the first time in a while and Ellis still got 20 minutes off the bench. Could be a good sign!

I know he has had a finger injury since joining the Cavs but looking at today’s stats in a loss against the Celtics nothing stands out. In 24 minutes 0 points, 3 rebounds, a steal and a block.
That’s only one game and still a small sample size but any reason to think the Kings really screwed up bad by not investing in him?
True, he’s been jerked around a lot, lack of consistency hasn’t helped his cause. The Cavs bringing in Harden right after trading for Keon also doesn’t help.Yeah, what he did as a King when he was given consistent substantial playing time with a decent roster. Remember when he was about to be the game 1 starter going into last season? He earned that, but they felt obligated to move Huerter back in front of him at the last minute. Something about "not losing a starting spot, after an injury"
