A decent coach and the desire to be part of a young team can also work wonders. I seriously doubt if Kenny is looking for a hefty new contract. I honestly believe he's just happy to be contributing, and that's reinforced by what I've heard from all kinds of people in a position to know.

Turns out he should have been playing at least a little all these years.
Am I dreaming, or when we first acquired him, wasn't he starting and having multiple 20+ pt 10+ reb games?
I remember him being a sweet mid-range shooter as well, and now his freethrow stroke is borderline retarded.

Yeah, I remember he was looking like a mini CWebb. He had a 30 point game, and put up some big assist numbers, in addition to the rebounding.

Why would KT get traded at this point? Wouldnt it be better for KT to expire and take his money off the books?
By the way, KT wanted to play.... period. He handled himself better than 99% of NBA players would have if they were in his position. I wrote about this exact same thing over a month ago.
I am a huge sixer fan(since I gre up watchng DR J, and KT was always a good player. Al Star? No, but never the worst player in the league as some people on this board trried claiming.
Hard to do anything when you were banished, and yes I mean banished to the bench. I just wish I knew the inside scoop on what was really happening at that time.

There might be a trade out there where we can get a very solid player who is still under contract (like Okafor) in lieu of waiting for the off season and trying to sign a quality free agent. Plus, if we are still hovering around .500 and the season is going well we would have the services of that player for the 2nd half of this season. That is the reason that we might not just let him expire.

My only question is how much these performance are increasing his trade value? He's got value because of his contract, but if a team needs a rebounder going into the second half of the season, they've got to factor in his value on the court as well. Westphal continues to increase the market value of the Kings' assets.

How quickly we forget. Kenny did his part to earn his spot on the bench with inexplicably deteriorating play over the course of many games over several seasons.
As happy as I am to see him contributing on the court again, and playing with toughness (unlike a certain 7-foot weenie center who shall not be named), Kenny was on the bench because he had forgotten how to shoot, pass, make layups, and make intelligent decisions on the court. If he has found a way, years later, to be more than a rankling reminder of the very costly C-Webb giveaway, it comes as little consolation to me, but I'll take it.
