Kenny Thomas

In the second half, particularly the 4th quarter, I kept waiting to see who was going to step up and hit some shots. It was great to see Thomas down the stretch come up so big. Yeah, Kenny!!

Hey, I have been showing K-9 the love all year, while others around here have been calling for him to traded all year. It is nice to see that many of you now realize his big value to this team. It is kind of ironic though that it is happening after this game. He really had a below average game. He came-up big in the final minutes....but all in all, he did not play all that great. But again, it is about time that everyone show K9 the love.

two big shots, 2 big free throws and don't forget that huge rebound he would not let Dirk get! (I loved seeing Dirk so pissed!:D )
Funny thing about dirk is that when ron shuts him down or something he will get mad at Jason Terry or stackhouse but not ron:confused:

Im also surprised you guys have just noticed that he is so valuable to this team. Still seems like you guys forgot the triple doubles hes had while playing for this team.

Triple doubles? Maybe you mean double doubles. The only triple double I remember is the one he had against the Lakers earlier this season. That was his first career triple double right? I could be wrong, though.

Kenny Thomas had a triple double? Er, multiple triple-doubles? Day-um. I really have to start paying more attention!!! As may3one pointed out, Kenny has one triple-double which he produced against the Lakers on Jan. 19, 2006.

I'm guessing you were referring to the dependable DOUBLE-doubles Kenny has put up time and time again. And, believe me, we've noticed. He's very effective as a role player and is growing on me more and more. Unfortunately, there's a key word in that last sentence. GROWING. Kenny isn't ever going to be the big banger PF we really need. And because of that, he'll continue to get the short end of the stick a lot of the time when praise is handed out.

Even though last night wasn't particularly productive for Kenny, he did lead in blocks and steals AND he was open when we needed him, possibly because the Mavs figured he wasn't much of a threat. That proved to be their undoing.

he has only 1 triple double... but he always seems to flirt with them. Alot of times only a couple assists away from getting that triple double. Anyways, kenny is a great role player hope he keeps on getting better.

I mentioned in another thread he had that freak triple double, but he hasn't had another game all season with more than 6 assists. He's got above average passing skills for a big man, but nothing spectacular, and his decisionmaking at times is just putrid. In fact he has become more valuable in recent weeks precisely as we have taken the ball OUT of his hands and asked him to just play off the ball, clean up the garbage, hit open shots, and cut to the hoop. He's gotten more valuable the more roleplayery he's gotten.

I am not a big K9 fan but as of late he is really doing great. We do need more size at the PF position if we really are to contend for a ring but for now I think he is a servicable PF to make us competitve.

I really like the rotation with Kenny starting and SAR off the bench. With that said I wouldn't be surpirsed if 1 or if not both are dealt in the offseason.

Nice job Kenny!
