Just talk so far... but Nazr for Matt Harpring?

And the Spurs STILL seem to be making adjustments to match that Bonzi/Ron pummeling in the first round. Remarkable.

They've had a scared offseason. Been interesting to watch and kind of inexplicable to me, but they certainly have acted like a shaken franchise. First Eric Williams, now Harping. Two of the only SG/SFs in the league who are tough and strong enough to stand in there against an Artest or Bonzi.

Harpring's injury-prone, lost some of his quickness, but still is tough on both ends yes.

Also would like to see fuller-in-shape Ron play, in general. :)

Eric Williams isn't quite what he was either, but still strong and can d up. Not much on offense though.

Actually they seem to be making adjustments based on Duncans decline in health. I think they are finally going to move him to the center position.

That's certianly part of it, but one way or the other after 8 years atop the league, coming off a year where they set a franchise record for wins and lost in a Game 7 to the Mavs, they really seem to have been dealt a bigger body blow than you would have thought. Like I say, it looks like they just abruptly lost confidence in who they are and how they've always played it and have been in purely reactive mold all offseason trying to switch things up and respond to everybody else.

Jesus, I hope not...

Wouldn't get the Spurs anymore young or athletic, but a scorer and tough guy off the bench. Would def. help out Jazz... but would this mean Nazr would be willing to be a back-up?! Unless they bench Memo.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this trade could happen. I'm pretty sure you are not allowed to sign and trade a player to another team in exchange for another signed and traded player(if that makes sense).

I read this somewhere but I'm not sure if I could dig it up.

If anyone needs to make adjustments it's the Kings. The Spurs will be competing for Titles for the next 5 years. They just need to add a couple of pieces and make sure they stay healthy.

LMAO!

Always amusing to hear from the dregs of Spurs fandom, but you should be worrying less about me and more about where your front office's head is right now.

I don't think anyone should be worried, only 3 or 4 days into the off-season. Still trades to happen and FAs left.

Though talking about moving Duncan to center and having a ? at PF right now is a bit interesting. Going away from what they were doing, then Nazr blows the Spurs 4-year deal offer off.

Not worried. Spurs fans are in good hands with Pop and RC in control of things. :)

They better be because you guys aren't getting any younger. I really like the trade to get rid of Rasho.....brilliant move, that Matt Bonner is the best red head in the game. Is Duncan going to start at Center???

The core of TD, Parker, and Manu is far from old. The bench was another story last year. The Spurs will re-tool. And yes, RC mentioned that Duncan will probably play more Center this year.

They have needed big, lanky SFs for a long time, well before Artest was on the Kings. They're just filling a need.

Jazz just resigned Harpring for 25 mill. Manu will be 29, Duncan is 30 and the only young one is Parker at 24. Their bench is older than me so I'm not sure how much time they have left......they looked really old in the playoffs, especially against Dallas.
