Kingster
Hall of Famer
There is no Bibby deal. No new young athletic faces to build a team around. The only goal now is to lose as many games as possible to get as high a draft pick as possible. Boston, Memphis, Philly and Milwaukee are out of reach, but the 5-7 slots look feasible, especially with a tough March schedule coming up. Here's hoping:
1) Bibby sulks big-time and his production gets even worse, increasing chances of a high pick.
2) Bibby can't stand how he's been treated and opts out, even though it might not make financial sense.
3) Muss gets orders from management to play the young guys even more than he's been playing them.
4) Brad gets temporary reinflammation of his foot
5) Artest's back acts up again -- temporarily, of course.
6) Martin gets a temporary shoulder
7) Teams like Seattle, Charlotte, the Hornets and Warriors go on a blazing winning streak.
8) If Muss is a good coach on a bad team, Kings' fire him.
9) If Muss is a bad coach on an average team, Kings' keep him.
10) Artest doesn't go ballistic so that we can trade him in the off-season.
11) And if we are terribly unlucky and end up with a worse pick than #7, Petrie does something he's never done in his Sacramento Kings career - he trades up in the draft.
And if you think that I want the players to just throw the games, I'm ready to just agree to your interpretation because I'm tired of seeing it explained over and over again on this board that that is just not the case.
