Had a good offer on the table for Bonzi but they chose not to take it.

Salmons is a young player they think they are catching at a good time - feels that like Bobby, he may start to flourish. Will back up Mike and also can play the 2/3.

Talking about the arena plan a bit, but mostly about improving downtown in general, nothing specific.

Go to the meeting today and let your views be known and voice your opinion.

Will take the positive approach on marketing the plan.

Will have an exciting and great-looking arena. Will provide first-class service and amenities - existing ARCO is antiquated/outdated/incapable of supporting improvement.

NBA was bound and determined to help keep the Kings here and came in to help and facilitate. They had info on past arena deals to help educate on negotiations, etc.

Sacramento has proven it is an NBA city and need a NBA class facility - ARCO isn't anymore.

Will not be a tremendous windfall for the Maloofs. Will be twice the size of ARCO, with twice as many employees and expenses. Really want it to be a great place to play and great for the fans.

Whenever I think of what Joe and Gavin Maloof think is "great for the fans," I am reminded of an obnoxiously large number six with a Bud Light logo stamped on it... And gold pajamas... And Roop the Hupe.

Too much of the rest of that sounds like spin doctoring.

"Today we have traded Mike Bibby, along with Kevin Martin and Garcia to the Atlanta Hawks for Speedy Claxton, Danta Smith, and the contract of Chris Crawford"...

"But we have the GREATEST FANS IN THE WORLD"

*straight face*

Whenever you think of those things, be sure and give proper credit to John Thomas, too. A lot of that stuff comes from his people.
