I doubt we could get him to come here.. He's already stated that he would like to stay where he is, but if not, then he would only go to a contending team. He stated that he already went through the rebuilding process once and has no desire to go through it again at this stage of his career. I can't say that I blame him.

no point in bringing him to rebuild anyway. if we could somehow barter our way to 2 top picks we could get turner and cousins. turner who is some what like jj w/o the shot. we won't be challenging for a championship unless we get a good big for our front court.

Who is rebuilding? Not the Kings.

Next year we will have a high draft pick (most likely a big guy), Tyreke + Free Agent. Sounds like a good team to me! :p

In answer to the original post....

I think that Joe Johnson would be a great fit for the team. If we end up drafting Cousins or Whiteside then I think he would be a good fit. Not sure if he would sign with us and if he did I am sure that we would be over paying him which is exactly what we are NOT going to do for a player of his caliber.

No thanks!

I like JJ as a player but he is not a good fit next to Tyreke. JJ is a star and needs the ball to be effective just like Tyreke. There would be too much offence being generated by Perimeter guts and it just would not be a great fit.

Tyreke needs a role player next to him in the backcourt and I think we have that set with Beno and Cisco. Sure it would be nice to upgrade those 2 but not for an all-star and certainly not for the money that JJ will make.

We need to address our frontcourt before we trying getting better at other positions.

Yes, my feelings exactly. Our backcourt is fine w/Beno and Reke. We need to address the frontcourt.

Sorry, we are rebuilding. There is a chance we compete for the last spot or two in the playoffs next season, but you can't call a team coming off twenty-something wins anything other than rebuilding. Joe Johnson isn't coming here when he can get the same money from a playoff team.
