I'm watching the late election returns and Jimmy Yee has won the election to fill the City Council seat of Illa Collins. That's good news for arena supporters, as Mr. Yee has been pretty open in his support of such a project.

It's good news for arena hopefuls, however. Both Jimmie (I spelled his name wrong, too) Yee and Roger Dickinson are both firmly in the camp of those who believe a new arena to be a top priority for Sacramento.

Dickinson yes...Yee, not so sure. I remember him being very outspoken in opposition of a new arena in a number of ways. I'll pull up a couple of things from a few years back, and even from before that, like with the Jim Thomas 'loan' vote...he was VERY leary, and still is about anything dealing with an arena vote dealing with public money, which is probably what its going to take, at least on a moderate scale, anyways.
