Indoor Grills

I know many of us own outdoor grills, but does anyone own and indoor one? If so, what kind do you have? And how safe are these indoor grills?

I have used my sister's George Foreman indoor grill. Here in snowy country, it was great being able to grill indoors in the winter. And, because she bought the stand for it, we take it outside when the weather is good.

Safety? Rock, it is not any different than cooking on a stove. As long as you keep it clean, they are as safe as cooking with anything else indoors.

What's a stove? ;) Seems like everyone has a George Foreman grill. I'll have to check into that. Thanks.

Hehehe!! You know, that thing people cooked on in their kitchens, before microwaves. ;)

I have a large out door grill, and use it year round, reguardless of the weather, also have a foreman grill,ok if your just cooking for 2-3 people and perfectly safe, just don't forget to unplug. Also have a sm (12 in.) version of a webber that uses an eletric element and works great, but needs to be near a stove or some sort of exhust system due to the smoke you will encounter.Never had a problem with either.

I have a Forman grill....my house is still standing! You gotta make sure you unplug it though.

And for God's sakes, clean it up as soon as you're done using it (i.e. before the grease cools down and hardens). Otherwise you make the cleanup job five times harder.

It sure is handy if you're cooking for a few people at most and don't feel like spending the time to prep an outdoor grill, but I don't think the taste is nearly as good.
