In short, a view of the West...

^musselman is still young. it's very possible that things don't run smoothly and the wheels fall off this season.

much like your signature, i believe i'll be of the "musselman - interesting, see how it goes" camp.

woods is woods. third string quality player whether or not he gets minutes. i think i'm the only one who wants to see potapenko play. big, lumbering guy, fun nickname, what's not to like?

i HOPE (along with everyone else) that kevin lives up to his potential.

Ok..OK...Those comments are getting a little old, don't ya think? I think someone's who's a 2 time champion knows how to play team ball. In the past 2 seasons, the other players on the Lakers have had career numbers,(they're scrubs, I know, but the common factor with all of them is KB), but that's never pointed out either.

I see the :p though..so it's cool.

i was joking of course, but in all seriousness...dude attempted 2,173 shots last season. AI had something like 1,800, and the nation perceives him as a ball hog.

BUT, he is a THREE time champ, and though i may not like him, i do think he is the best individual player in the league today.

We have different views on Musselman. We agree to disagree on him.

Well, you weren't as specific about Woods as you are now. We'll have to see on Woods. Woods I actually think could not be Woods. I'm fine if Potapenko stays around, just don't think he will, and if he does, don't think he'll be too much for us.

I think Kevin will be fine.

Our record this year should definitely be better than last year.

Oh and about Bonzi's playoff performane-two words: contract year.

Agreed on first.

While Bonzi always plays well in the playoffs and is a proven playoff guy, I agree contract year was a significant factor.

We were 44-38 this past year, we will probably be better by 2-3 games with this current roster. so if that means definitely better then i agree but we won't improve much because we haven't done a whole lot of nothing.

i have to ask the loren woods enthusiasts...

Woods
PPG 2.6 | RPG 3.3 | BPG 0.64

Potapenko
PPG 6.6 | RPG 4.5 | BPG 0.34

Sampson
PPG 2.4 | RPG 3.9 | BPG 0.50

all career averages. what did we actually do that's of any interest?

Yes, 3-time champ. (I'm at work so I'm sneaking this in.);)
Like I said, other players are mostly scrubs so what is he to do??? :p

Woods really hasn't done much your are right. But the past year he did do better, and I think he is more serviceable than the 6-10 Potapenko, or the 6-11 Sampson. By no means do I think he'll be a great backup, but I think he can at least be adequate.

We were like the league's fourth best team once Artest got here. Yeah I realize there have been some changes that maybe aren't for the best but this roster is capable of 50 wins.

sometimes it is so hard to hold your tongue when you know you should.

edit: this is in response to the KB conversation

I've already said how I feel on Woods/Potapenko/Sampson (moreso in the past for Sampson though).

Agreed.

We were 18-24 before we got Ron. After that we were 26-14, and that was with a couple of tough losses while Ron was still getting acclimated to the new team. If you take that 26-14 record and translate it into a full season, that would put us at about 54 wins. That right there is one of the better teams in the league and I think we can replicate that record next year.

Who knows if you can carry that over though. This is almost a fresh start. Not as much as last yeat but a fresh start just the same.

He may not get the ball due to Jackson if he doesn't show tri proficiency. Jackson will put Walton in over him if he has to. Barf.
