No really sure about all emotion with the 2-3 start. I think it was to be expected with this half-baked season.
The team had 2 weeks to practice. At no time were all the starting players available for practice. By my count, 50% of the players suiting-up are new to the team and have never played under Westphal and have never played together. How is this supposed to work well? How are the players supposed to learn how to play together? On the fly? No wonder it looks like they just met on the playground.
I am not at all ready to have Westphal fired and continue the coaching carousel. He really has not even had a chance to coach this season IMHO. Some practice time would be great.
I expect things might get worse. Legs are going to get very tired, very quickly with this ridiculous schedule and that will probably bring sloppier play (frightening as that may be).
So we are 2-3 and the 3 losses came to some pretty good teams. It's been ugly, but certainly not a disaster. I am ready to sit back and watch a bumpy ride that was created by the league and it's bigger issues.
