I've figured it out. After the outrage when the Kings picked Spencer Hawes, many fans were demanding additional trades be made.

Petrie floats names like Hedo and Mo Pete to scare fans to death, and they back off trade demands and thank their lucky stars nothing was done.

If you can't make the fans happy... scare the living heck out of them!

OK, just a humorous post, but jeeze, those are some scary rumors that are floating out there right now.

I feel fans just have way too much information about what's going on in the NBA these days. I'm sure all GM have to consider free agents and have these sort of talks, perhaps gauging trade value and so forth. After hearing about players getting traded every year like Iverson and Garnett, rumors don't phaze me as much as a bad hair day.
