How the Sacramento Kings became the NBA's Cinderella team.

Those commitment contracts may be why Monte didn't make any major moves at the trade deadline. The team made a commitment to each other and Monte wanted to show the players that the team was committed to them.

By not making a move he increased their focus and confidence 10x fold post trade deadline. You are going to run through walls when you are playing for family!

Excellent, excellent insight. Folks we have the best commenters don't we?

The team is like a dish. head coach thinks of recipe and starts cooking. I didn't see anyone in NBA who could be like a must have player on a roster. The same like a chef doesn't change ingredients in the middle of the process. Sure, the taste could be questionable, but if everything is correct - the dish on the table should satisfy. After the AS break - I'm VERY SATISFIED :)

Now you're speaking my language. This take is hotter than fish grease!

Brown is an Organization Man, not just a good coach. He has the whole Sacto Kings organization lined out.
Strong commitments from his players. The best thing since Mike Malone.

Adding Sabonis changed their offense. He is a good defender and rebounder. He is the biggest difference maker. Fox has grown up. Huerter is a great addition. Murray was a great draft pick. This is fun to watch.
