How does Peja rank?

How does peja rank internationally? Is he still in the top ten?

We had this thread a few months back. Opinions vary as to exactly where he ranks, but I doubt you would find many who would rank him outside the Top 10, and maybe still Top 5.

Dirk
Kirlienko
Nash (if he counts)
Manu
Yao
Peja
Gasol
Big Z
Parker
Magliore (if he counts)

Search is your friend...

Brick, I notice that you've moved Yao up in your rankings since that thread...

I didn't give this list as much thought, but the future may be now for Yao. Guy keeps on working + getting better and I don't think their is a GM in the league, or the world for that matter, who would take Peja over Yao given a choice between the two players.

I really don't get why Yao isn't getting any love from a lot of people. Expectations getting in the way? Top 3 in FG%, good free throw shooter, on the edges of 20/10 and about to reach it, good defender in the paint, and has a jump shot. Has an aversion to dunking, much like Brad, but otherwise more than solid and getting better.

I'd put him over Manu. As a GM, would I pick Manu over Yao when drafting a team? No. I don't know if many would (if any). Dirk, definitely. AK and Nash are thinkers, but give them the nod for now... ask me again in January.

I would rather have Yao than either Manu or Kirilenko.

If Yao has a big year, I think most would, although Kirlienko's unique octopus defensive game gives him a chance to be a major star in the Pippen-like mold.

Peja will barely cling to top 10 by November's end if something doesn't happen quickly. One quarter of spectacular play out of four games doesn't cut it...
