Is there a possibility McGrady is detoured to the Knicks?? If a deal to send McGrady to NY can't be done the Kings can still negotiate a buyout of T-Mac's contract and he could sign with the Knicks. As such, I was reading some of the comments by the Rockets fans under the article and they are pretty pissed that they lost Carl Landry. Kenny Thomas is FINALLY gone. Petrie really does play with his cards super close to his chest. LOL. I wish Kevin Martin the best in Houston.
I'd feel better not losing Landry: 54%
Of course this is the winner. I'm sure they would have preferred to get KMart without giving anything up!
I'd feel better about our trade if we didn't lose KMart!
Or if LeBron was thrown in.
I'm not altogether sure I can see the big picture for the Rockets. Brooks, Martin and Ariza are all *really* fast. Yao--well, not so much. Martin and Ariza seems like a good combo on paper, though. They'll be able to run, that's for sure.
I really didn't think Landry was on the market thats the crazy part about this trade. The Rockets fans should be mad hes a crowd favorite, energy guy who can put up great offensive numbers, he was in the running for 6th man of the year.
But they are getting back Kevin Martin who when Yao comes back will be the perfect fit next to them so they really shouldnt be that mad you gotta give to get and he is just what they needed for a lil scoring punch to push towards the playoffs in a extremely tight western conference.
Oh come on this would have been like the Kings trading 02-03 Prime Bobby Jackson for a 02-03 Prime DIrk Nowitzki. As good as Bobby was that year, Dirk was/is a better overall NBA player.
They can be angry all they want. But they're wrong and Kevin will make them forget Landry quickly.
