Houston fans generally angry about trade

I really didn't think Landry was on the market thats the crazy part about this trade. The Rockets fans should be mad hes a crowd favorite, energy guy who can put up great offensive numbers, he was in the running for 6th man of the year.

But they are getting back Kevin Martin who when Yao comes back will be the perfect fit next to them so they really shouldnt be that mad you gotta give to get and he is just what they needed for a lil scoring punch to push towards the playoffs in a extremely tight western conference.

Is there a possibility McGrady is detoured to the Knicks?? If a deal to send McGrady to NY can't be done the Kings can still negotiate a buyout of T-Mac's contract and he could sign with the Knicks. As such, I was reading some of the comments by the Rockets fans under the article and they are pretty pissed that they lost Carl Landry. Kenny Thomas is FINALLY gone. Petrie really does play with his cards super close to his chest. LOL. I wish Kevin Martin the best in Houston.

Ummm, you might want to check the "Kings Rap" forum. That's all we have been talking about is where TMac will end up.

Houston got more in Kevin than they would have from NY. Kevin will fit perfectly with Brooks, Yao, and Ariza. This really is a win-win for both teams. I'm excited to watch Kevin with Houston, especially next year with a healthy Yao and the maturation of Brooks.

I think the Rocket fans should be at least very concerned, if not angry. It's going to be interesting to watch them. Adelman is the perfect coach for Martin because he knows his game so well, so if they don't do well, it's not going be because of the coach.

By the way, out of all the zillion posts, did any post come up with the Landry trade? I just want to know who to give kudos to.

as a rockets fan i will miss landry but we really could use a player like martin... if he plays the way he did last season he will help this(rockets) team win games... adelman has coached martin before so he shouldnt have any problems, i look forward to seeing how it plays out.

I'd feel better not losing Landry: 54%

Of course this is the winner. I'm sure they would have preferred to get KMart without giving anything up!

I'd feel better about our trade if we didn't lose KMart!
Or if LeBron was thrown in. :p

I was personally ticked that we didn't get the Magic involved and have them throw in Dwight Howard to open up more space for Gortat.

I'm not altogether sure I can see the big picture for the Rockets. Brooks, Martin and Ariza are all *really* fast. Yao--well, not so much. Martin and Ariza seems like a good combo on paper, though. They'll be able to run, that's for sure.

Oh come on this would have been like the Kings trading 02-03 Prime Bobby Jackson for a 02-03 Prime DIrk Nowitzki. As good as Bobby was that year, Dirk was/is a better overall NBA player.

They can be angry all they want. But they're wrong and Kevin will make them forget Landry quickly.

Just so I can get my mind around this. You are saying:

Prime Bobby J + Prime Dirk = Carl Landry + KMart

I get the Bobby = Landry best sixth man comparision.

But Prime Dirk = KMart ?????!!!!!! I don't think so:)

Rockets fans shouldnt be THAT mad at the trade. Kevin Martin is a lethal scorer when he can get clean looks off screens and cuts and such. He is the kind of scorer that they need to help them down the line getting into the playoffs, Brooks wasn't gonna be able to do it all himself. Landry is really the only guy anybody would want from them outside of Brooks really.

If you read through their posts (or do like I did and skip to the last couple pages ;) ) they are much happier after NY got involved. They hated it when it was just Houston and Sac, but while they don't like losing Landry, the additional picks/pieces are OK with most of them.

Actually when i first heard the news that we got Landry..i got really excited! i never thought Rockets would have given up Landry in the first place. With the few games i've watch him play, he is really fast and strong inside and he's a leading candidate for the 6th man of the year. To me nice pick-up and now want to see the Kings fully run by Evans as our main guy!
