Did Horry really BITE Stackhouse? That is crazy!!!!

I guess Stackhouse was really mad a Bravetta. He let some words fly and will probably be fined.

what happened?

That little skirmish at the end of the game between Stackhouse and Horry included Horry biting Stackhouse's arm. Then Stack went off on Dick Bavetta, threw down a few F and S bombs.

Horry got suspended and Stack got fined $30k. Surprised Stack didn't get suspended but hey, I'll take it.

I wouldn't get on Stack's bad side. He has beat the crap out of many a player in his day.

Nearly broke Jeff Hornacek's face one year ....

Last year he met up with Kris Humpheries or Kirk Snyder after a game and beat him down....

I think there are others...I'll find out.

1996: During a game Stackhouse lands several punches to the face of Jeff Hornacek.

April 1999: On a team flight with the Pistons Stackhouse and Christian Laetner argue over $2000 and come to blows. Unnamed witnesses say that Jerry "landed several blows to Laetner's face."

April 2005: After a game against the Jazz, Stackhouse and Kirk Snyder came to blows in a tunnel under the Delta Center. Fight lasted a minute before it was broken up. Securtiy guard that witnessed the fight said "Snyder got hit real hard a couple of times, by the time it was over he was bleeding."

March 2006: Horry bites Stackhouse. Horry better watch out.

It wasn't much, and wasn't like Mike Tyson on Holyfield at all. To me and others (not one dimensonal thinking people) was just Horry being goofy, knew the game was over and they just got tied up along with some frustration and competitiveness in there. The little bite was equal to Tim Duncan kicking Horry on the butt as the seperation was going on and Horry was conversing with Bavetta. BTW, Stackhouse hasn't even spoken about the Horry thing, only about Bavetta (unless I missed it).

wait...i saw that, i missed the bite thing..wow thats a sad thing for a grown man to do

It wasn't in a serious or malicious manner though. You could just tell if you watched the whole scene, also knowing Horry's personality and his age.

I agree that it wasn't a Mike Tyson chomp but it shouldn't be tolerated either. Looking back at the replay of that scene you can see Terry running off to Avery Johnson saying "Horry bit Stack's f'ing arm! Horry bit Stack's arm!"

Stackhouse on Bavetta -- glad to see it isn't just the Kings that feel he screws them over.

For his part, Stackhouse earned a $30,000 fine for an obscenity-laden post-game tirade against veteran referee Dick Bavetta, who worked the game.
"Somebody saw Bavetta get off the bus [Wednesday] night and I thought, 'Oh, [expletive].' I knew what was coming," Stackhouse told The (Fort Worth) Star-Telegram.
"It's tough to come on the road in this environment and have to play agains the refs, too," Stackhouse told the paper. "[Expletive] Dick Bavetta. I'm tired of his [expletive]. It's like the game is about him. He just needs to call the game and call the fouls."
Friday, Stackhouse said he thought he would receive a lesser fine from the league.
"I was expecting $7,500,'' he said. "Did I expect $30,000? Not at all."
Stackhouse did not back off from his criticism of the officiating in the matchup between the top two teams in the Western Conference.
"I'm not going to change how I feel," he said.
Bavetta, a 31-season league veteran, declined to comment.

Yeah, I saw Terry spawking too. Doesn't make the degree of the mouth contact with Stack's arm any stronger than what it actually was. Which it wasn't much, and came off as just a goofy thing from Horry at the end of a decided game to me, and most others from what I've gathered.

Reminds me of the scene in "Fletch" where Chevy Chase is day dreaming that he is a Laker and he is "fighting off 3 defenders" ;)
