I dunno bout you ladies and gents... but i cant believe Webber being traded was bigger than the Monarchs winning the title. I mean, sure, the Webber trade greatly reduced the kings chances of winning a title anytime soon. But the Monarchs fought hard and brought a title to Sacramento before the Kings did. I like the Monarchs and wish they got more respect. Maybe its because im not a Kings fan and thats why i dont think the Webber trade is bigger than the Monarchs winning a championship.

More basketball fans in Sacramento were impacted by the Webber trade than the Monarchs' victory. That's just a cold, hard fact. It doesn't take away anything from the Monarchs victory. It just says that in Sacramento a trade of a franchise player on the Kings is going to be looked upon as more of a story than the WNBA championship. It's all just silly numbers.

For better or worse, there are more Kings Fans than Monarchs Fans, and Chris Webber was the most important player on the Kings. I'm just glad that the Monarchs winning was solidly in second place, and that WNBA haters didn't attempt to "stuff" the ballot to put some non-story ahead of them.
