I just got home from work and looked at the box score. The Monarchs scored 91 pts? Are you kidding me????? And they beat the Shock by 40 pts?

THAT my friends, was a thing of beauty! WOW! I think the Monarchs have located their offense. Talk about a total turnaround from the last game. Everybody scores tonight. This was just fun all around. On the floor and on the bench, I was thoroughly entertained.

Nicole Powell was good beyond words tonight. 25pts! She was feeling it tonight, everything seemed to go in the basket. Great game by Rebekkah Brunson, first double double. Erin Buescher played great! She was all over the place, and really stepped up when Yo was in foul trouble. Ticha Penicheiro proved her value tonight. She had 9 assists, took some great charges, played spectacular defense on Deanna Nolan, had an AND-1, and was one of the most entertaining cheerleaders on the bench tonight!:D Maiga continues to impress me, she has had a great couple of games lately. Kara Lawson played a tough game, she got knocked around a bit at the end. But she had a season high in points. Really, I think it was a great team performance ALL AROUND!

Things that entertained me tonight:

*Detroit getting their groove on during the Monarchs' introductions before the game. I was so entertained watching their line dancing that I almost missed our intros!

*Ticha's slooooow motion fall into the cameras towards the end of the game. It looked like someone falling into water, it was weird, yet funny.

*Yolanda Griffith, on the bench at the end of the game going down the line kissing everybody on the cheek. Sat back down on the bench, and got Ticha again. It was cute. Nice to see the team so happy after the last game. Couldn't see that on TV though cause I just caught the tail end of the game replay on CSN.

*The little hip hop crew dancer with the red skirt. She was adorable!

*Rubberman....he kinda freaked me out. Nobody should be that bendy. LOL!

It was so much fun tonight, there was so much going on, it was good to get a win like this after the NY game!

Considering the radio report that had her up all night sick, Erin was amazing. When we needed her the most, she gave the team a double - double! Who would have expected 10 points and 14 rebounds?!We got productivity from all ten Monarchs who could play, with outstanding games from Rebekkah and Nicole especially. GREAT GAME!!!

One thing I really liked about last night's game was how Coach Whiz never stopped coaching no matter how big the difference was. So many other coaches would of just taken the night off at that point, but he still pushed his team.

Good to hear. It is not about the score. It is all about the Monarchs play.

The Shock line dance was cool, I think I spent a little bit more time watching that than our intro too...especially when I noticed Laimbeer in it too shaking his groove thing.

When Ticha fell into that cameraman's arms, it almost looked like he wasn't going to let her get back up :)

The bendy guy WAS freaky

Outstanding game from the team last night, every single last one of them was fantastic. I gotta give some props too to the crowd, the arena was very into the game and really was into giving people their due. The standing O they gave the trio of Haynie, Maiga and I can't remember who the third player was was fabulous. And there was a 3 play sequence where the crowd rose up to acknowledge some great defense on one end of the floor which was followed by an incredibly gritty offensive sequence on the opposite end so I think the arena ended up standing throughout for a bit of a stretch.

I've been waiting to see them step on someone's throat, and finally got to see what that looked like. Keep it up! More work to be done!!

An awesome game!! The atmosphere last night at Arco was more to my liking compared to Friday night. Some of my observations:

1. Bill Laimbeer is a big cry baby. He controls the game better than any coach in the league when it comes to starts and stops of play. Unbelieveable.

2. "Prezel Man" was off the hook. That was the nastiest thing I have seen in a long time.

3. The Monarchs were awesome, the team looked great. Powell was on fire and had a great enthusiasm about the game. Ticha, Becky and Bueschler were great.

4. Detroit is way too talented to get their butts wooped that bad. What is wrong with that team?

You all couldn't have said it better....an awesome win & a fun game to watch!

The Shock dance was really cute...Bill Laimber is really ugly & a kick to watch & listen to. So happy we won!!!!

Everyone ready for Tangela's return to Arco?

You should have seen the looks on the faces of the two Detroit Shocks' coaches: Bill Lambeer & Rick Mahorn. The only word to describe it was : SHOCK!
