No, you said they were drafting more ready players. That's not close to drafting players based on need. Like Roy was thought of as probably the most ready player in 06 I think, but they needed a PF more because they didn't know Josh could play that position so they took a PF. But everyone knew Roy was more "ready" than Shelden. Same thing last year, they drafted Acie over a guy like Thornton because they needed a PG even though Thornton may be more ready with his age.

I note that Kenny Smith, that guy we picked at #6 over Reggie Miller and Kevin Johnson, has weighed in with his opinion about our current roster. At least he ranks us above Seattle and Minny in the West.
