presentations just keep getting longer and more boring. I can't believe I actually sat through the whole show.

Congratulations to Troy Smith.

Congratulations on joining an exclusive group containing the likes of Gino Toretta, Jason White, Eric Crouch, and Chris Weinke. :D

Unfortunately, I was clipping my toenails and wasn't able to watch, but I'll take your word for its excitement. ;)

Two, perhaps even three of those guys really deserved it. Gino Toretta still remains a mystery. Its really not fair to hold award winners against their later accomplishments as pros, especially option QBs. It also seems wrong that some of the less deserving winners that go on to have huge HoF worthy pro careers are given a pass in the "worst Heisman decisions ever" category.

Smith impressed me quite a few times this year but I think both of the runners up may have been more deserving since they had a lot less to work with.

I liked the part where we got to know the candidates a little more.

I have to say, I am very impressed with Brady Quinn's academic credentials. He's obviously a very gifted football player but I didn't know he was a very dedicated student as well.

He's about to finish a double major in political science and finance in only 3 and a half years. That's pretty amazing. And he talks about still wanting to take the LSATs and go to law school someday.

I am impressed. :)
