Last thing I read was that Haynie was tentatively scheduled to play in Lithuania this winter. is that true? Is she there already? Just curious to see how she does overseas.

Kristin in Lithuania

Katie Douglas is having surgery on her foot. Kristin can play with Lithuania only until Katie is ready to come back. Kristin's contract was all set a few months ago....but because Katie was denied Lithuanian citizenship, there are now too many Americans on the team. Ebony Hoffman is the other American on the team, which they have to keep because Lithuania cannot find a center. And they will definitely keep Douglas...so I guess Kristin has to go. But at least she will get some experience over seas. When all this citizenship stuff happened, it was too late for another team to pick up Haynie.

Well that's a fine development now innit? And the NWBL bit the dust so that's out for her too. So there's no where else she can go in some sort of short season somewhere, but not somewhere where she won't be in camp when it starts? I'm not sure coming back to Sac would help her either, she needs to be logging at least 20-25 minutes somewhere running an offense, and defending at the one. I'm not concerned as much about her conditioning because I think she can do that anywhere.

She's playing with TEO in the Lithuanian league. She's averaging 18.5 ppg 4.5 rpg 5.5 apg shooting 63% from the field and 50% from 3 (26mpg). Well, it's only 2 games but it is what it is.

Now that is some nice numbers.

Looks like Kristin's playing in europe has been put on hold. Katie Douglas in back with TEO (Kristin's team) and as in Alivia's post above. She had a 3 game stat line of 16.0 ppg / 4.3 rpg / 4.3 apg / 1-2 spg.

Wonder what will happen now?

I hope what happens next is her agent finds her some damn where else to play for a couple of months.

Another question I had about her stat line for the three( ) games she played in Lith., how many minutes and turnovers had she been averaging there?

EDIT: I scrolled up and saw her mpg average...thanks! Just need to know what her TO/game had been.

complete statline after googling for lithuanian translation:
26.3mpg 16.0ppg on 60.9% FG, 57% 3FG, 72% FT, 4.3rpg, 4.3 apg, 2.3spg, 1.7 fouls/game, 1.3 TO/game, 0.6bpg.
That's it. :)

Hope she could play more so she can continue to develop.

yeah, she actually blocked 2 shots in 3 games. Actually based on here michigan career, these numbers should not be too much of a surprise (except maybe she's scoring more).

nice find. The stats i posted above were for her 3 games in the Lithuanian league. That third game (FIBA EUROLEAGUE) was pretty bad for her. Even considering that though, not a bad showing.
