Hawks fire Lloyd Pierce

Crazy. They have definitely underachieved this year considering they were supposed to be a playoff squad. They have a bunch of roster clean up to do but they have a lot of talent.

Thankfully Dwane Casey has a job so long as he's working we won't be forced to fire Walton or fined for tanking.

Lloyd Pierce didn't bring all those overpriced mediocre players. Somebody has to be sacrificed I guess.
A losing team's first move, more than likely, is always the firing of the head coach/manager. It's the easiest way to change things around and get a boost for a short duration.

They’ve been killing it under Nate. Would love to get him this summer if ATL doesn’t lock him up.
I would put Nate on the short list for GOOD options for replacing Walton, but I fear Monte will do what most GM's do and go with what he knows.... enter De'Antoni. (who I not have on my short list)
