Greet the Mayor

Hey all.

Sunday morning at 10:45 am, the Mayor will be returning. He will arrive on Delta airlines.

We are all planning to meet him out there, and have a mini-rally.

I know it's super short notice, but this is a good chance to show how passionate we are, being that the media will be there in full force.

Come on out, have some brunch after, every little bit helps.

This is great.

Judging from the reaction on this board as events were happing, there are THRONGS of people who have been blown away by KJ's efforts. Would not be surprised if word of this travels fast and thousands show up. It'll be a very impressive opportunity to make a show of support, both for the Mayor, and for the effort to keep the Kings in Sac. I'd show up if I didn't live in Seattle.

And by the way... so many of us are so grateful for the efforts you have done as well. On behalf of myself and this board, a GIANT THANK YOU to you for helping to get us where we are now.

We shall see. One thing I have learned from this whole experience is that Internet passion does not always equal "real life" attendance.

I get that people have lives, but it's amazing to READ how heartbroken people are, to hear how their lives are over if the team leaves, only to also read how they have x and y plans when it's time to show up and be heard.

If anything, I hope people truly understand how very close we are to keeping this team, when a week ago it looked impossible. Every little bit counts a TON.

Thanks for the kind words. This is the epitome of a group effort, so many people have risen up to the challenge. It's amazing.

Dave,

It's people thinking someone else will do it. I was shocked how few people stayed after the Lakers game. The late start and OT didnt help, but still it could have been the last game ever.
