Great interview with C.J. McCollum on, NBA Job Interview:

bajaden

Hall of Famer
If your a fan of McCollum's, but you still have some doubts about him, maybe this interview will abate your fears. This is a very very smart young man, and its interesting how he just adjusts his game to whatever the team needs. Anyway, its worth watching. Hmmm! for some reason, when I post the video, it just shows up as a black screen. So I'll just post the link.

Seems like a great guy... hard worker, will do what it takes to succeed, coachable, won't cause his team/org any problems. I'm a huge fan... would be thrilled to get him.

Hes very intelligent and his mature demeanor would be great for our new team culture. I would prefer a more defensive player but I wont be upset if we draft this kid..

I'm biased but I love this kid. Skillset that meshes very well with Tyreke and DeMarcus and he's a smart, mature kid who has the right outlook on things. If Porter or Noel drop then obviously I expect the Kings to grab them, but if things go according to the consensus, I like McCollum over Burke, MCW, Zeller, etc. He's got a chip on his shoulder and the willingness to improve.

His bball IQ is very good. Likes talking sets, etc. If his game translates, his mind is already NBA caliber.

I agree with you. Obviously I didn't get to see him play as much this year as I would have liked, due to his injury, but I saw enough the year before. its interesting that all through highschool and AAU ball, he played PG, but they asked to to play SG at Lehigh. One year, his coach, Reed, I believe, asked him to help in the rebound dept, and he averaged over 7 rebounds a game. He's very coachable, and as he stated, will do whatever the team needs him to do. I love that he studies his opposition. He's a real student of the game.
