If we had had Boogie for 4 full games, and the W's had had Curry for only 48 min in the 4 games...

Remember the arrogance, the shaky ref calls, the mountain to climb?

Uh huh.

But we came to fight, and fight we did. For all those who caved to the nonsense a couple of weeks ago, you will notice who was leading the fight btw. They are better than us, our defense got ripped again. Once agian the whistles took Boogie away for long stretches. But this was fine as losses go. In fact better than some wins. We were not wildy overmatched even against this team, and hence my poll question.

Boxscore

Stats: 39min 23pts (9-16, 2-3, 3-5) 9reb 1ast 2stl 1blk 0TO
Summary:came to play again, and filled his role as #2 offense man against top defenders while staying efficient

Gay ( ) --

Stats:22min 9pts (3-4, 0-0, 3-3) 3reb 0ast 0stl 0blk 0TO
Summary: did not back down from Green, as you might expect, also did not guard the 3pt line, a problem

Acy ( ) --

Stats: 30min 33pts (12-27, 2-6, 7-9) 10reb 1ast 3stl 0blk 2TO
Summary: refs must have been alarmed after benching him with ticky tack fouls for 3/4 to almost have him beat their W's anyway

Cousins ( ) -- used his mobility to get Bogut on skates and bully past him, and really got going in the 2nd quarter before the refs took him out. Played the entire 4th and tried to lead a late charge to steal it. On the week averaged 32.5pts 14.0reb 3.3ast 2.5stl 0.8blk. Player of the Week should be coming. Now let's see if he can sustain for Player of the Month.

Stats: 27min 6pts (2-4, 0-2, 2-3) 2reb 4ast 1stl 0blk 2TO
Summary: 2nd game in a row started off the game well and looked like he might be there for the long haul, but again no

McLemore ( ) --

Stats: 29min 4pts (2-8 0-3, 0-0) 3reb 12ast 0stl 0blk 4TO
Summary: after a slow start by Curry, offered minimal defensive resistance to Curry's explosion

Rondo ( ) --

Bench

Stats: 31min 16pts (5-10, 1-2, 5-5) 2reb 6ast 1stl 0blk 1TO
Collison ( ) --

Stats: 32min 13pts (5-14, 3-7, 0-0) 3reb 1ast 0stl 0blk 0TO
Belinelli ( C- ) -- was absolutely eye-gougingly awful for 2 1/2 quarters, missed every single jumepr before half, and even after he woke up still spotted in some misses. Made a critical defensive mistake of the mystifying sort for us in the final minutes when he ran away from STEPHEN CURRY at the 3pt line to go help inside. I'm not sure what chapter of Saavy 101 he thinks he found that in, but its not.

Stats: 12min 2pts (1-3, 0-0, 0-0) 1reb 1ast 1stl 2blk 1TO
Koufos ( C- ) -- made a couple of defensive stands, but largely an ineffective game and got pulled several times when the Warriors smallballed

Stats: 9min 10pts (4-6, 0-0, 2-4) 1reb 0ast 0stl 0blk 0TO
Cauley Stein ( B ) -- looked a little underphysical against the Warriors' bruisers, but ran the floor like a gazelle for alley oops and dunks. Oddly seems hesitant or uncomfortable out on 3pt shooters, didn't close well on Green.

Stats: 8min 0pts (0-0, 0-0, 0-0) 0reb 1ast 0stl 0blk 0TO
Curry ( INC ) -- some brief stints mostly to amuse the crowd and maybe bother his brother, but didn't work

It's tough having to play the W's 4 times a season. They are so rediculously good. Curry just flings balls up and they go in under the any kind of duress. Then Green is hitting 3's left and right. The defense is relentless. The Kings did score 116. If boogie was not in foul trouble, maybe it's closer.

If the Kings can win the games they should, they will be ok.

New Lakers is right. Not sure if the arena was full of Kings fans or Warrior fans. They got all the calls.

WCS and Acy HAVE TO PLAY (way more)there energy and athletic ability and finishing around the rim the team needs, Karl has to stop taking them out for ZERO reason. After Cuz and Rudy those two were our 3rd and 4th best player tonight.

Draymond Green scored 25 and by my count only 3 of them came on Acy and thats when Acy had to go double Klay. Green killed us when Kosta was in the game to me Kosta should only be playing if we are playing big teams with low post bigs (Spurs/Grizz). Willie should ethier be the starting PF or back up C and Acy should be either back up Pf or starting with Casspi playing more at Sf and small bits at SG or go Cuz/Q and WCS/Casspi (coming off the bench).

Cousins has won me back over he was unreal got unlucky with foul calls dude was killing it. Rudy played his arse off as well prpos to him.

The defense of our guards was the worst I have ever seen Rondo gave up like 4 buckets cause he basically quit cause Curry was raping him dude didn't even run back he was embarrassing tonight never seen a above average player be such a liability. I can't get over how terrible our overall guard play is those guys are so flawed and none of them even give consistant effort aside from Curry.

I agree with Cousins post game thoughts. Warriors are so good as is but the NBA is hell bent on making them their next cash cow franchise with all the calls they get and how much they are able to get away with. The NBA smells a potential dynasty led by an all time great player who is a media darling and they are going to try and milk every cent they can, while they can. The downside of pro sports, ultimately it's a business.

Really proud of all our guys! We really put up a fight. With the way this game was called (on both sides) it was easy to let up and search for excuses. Really nice to see Demarcus staying cool despite being taken out of the game by the refs in the 3rd quarter and not gettong anything called at the end of the game. But we stayed focused and played hard. Now bring that energy against the Pelicans and the Jazz and beat them!

DeMarcus Cousins in my mind is the third best player in this league. As much as this season has sucked. Remember this privledge to be able to say that. Also remember that he wants to play here, and is under contract for the next couple years.

If you don't like that, you don't like Kings basketball.

I just want to continue. I'm pumped. After years of having owner ship that didn't give a crap about this team, which doesn't need to be focused on. And from having players who didn't live up to the hype. Tyreke Evans is a great player now, but we know the work he should have put it. Donte Green, he looked like he had the potential of a mini Lebron, its obvious he didn't care. Jason Thompson, who looked like LMA but with a defensive and rebounding game. To Omri Casspi, which continues my point, but his passion suprisingly turned out like Demarcus.. Boy am i stoked to have this guy. I can't believe we have someone like him who is so commited to us, when he seemed like a lost cause before. DeMarcus has so much passion for this game, and he is such a great human being outside of the court. I am so proud that he is a King. He is the third best player in this league. I have never in my lifetime seen so much talent ooze from a bigman, outside of Webber, but I believe Demarcus is greater than him. Did you see him drain that 3 to put us back in the game? In his first year shooting 3s, with the series on the line (from a sweep perspective), and just knock it the **** down? Too bad he didn't hit the next one. That's just basketball though. My god he has so much confidence and swagger. I can't believe him. I can't believe how good this guy is and how much passion he has. How much he LOVES US.

That being said, I will be deploying for basic training for the Army on monday, and i will probably miss the rest of the season. I have seen every game for the past 10 years. I believe we will get the 8th seed. I believe Bogut will get injured, like he always does, somewhere in between now and the playoffs. And we will beat golden state in the first round.

God speed Sacramento. I love you all.

Just a friendly tip about the Army especially in training, never volunteer for anything, and if they give you a hard time its probably not personal.

Thank you for the future service.

This may finally be our year, And Demarcus' year too.

I appreciate it, ill keep that in mind

I voted that we would steal one game from them (maybe) and here is why. As important as Curry is to them, I think Draymond Green is equally as important. Curry hits the tough and back breaking shots that only he can make, and he is excellent at creating for others, but the offense is run through Green more than Curry. It's true. Many times, Curry is out there moving without the ball. It's like when we had Doug Christie, who would bring the ball up and initiate the offense with Bibby spotting up. The only difference being that Curry is 10x better than Bibby and Green is better than Christie. I think the Warriors would actually be worse with Green out than Curry (they don't really have anyone to take his place off the bench, but Livingston is a great backup PG).

After watching last night's game, the obvious strength of the Warriors is that every single person on the court at any time for them is a threat to score or pass to someone who will score. Another strength is that the Warrior's have the officials on their side, clearly. They are the darling of the NBA and therefore are treated as such. That 3rd foul on Cousins before the half dictated most of the 2nd half. Props to Cuz for not picking up his 5th, but he never should have had 3 going into half. He was killing them at the end of the 2nd quarter. That was MVP vs potential MVP right there. Trading shots back and forth. You could see Curry was taking it personal!

Not sure how our "genius", "hof" coach is going to do it, but this team needs a defensive scheme badly. Not sure if the players are incapable or if it's coaching or both, but we're just not getting over the hump if we can't tighten it up for longer stretches.

I know the W's have been blowing teams up all season, but a few more stops and a couple of these games would be closer, definitely winnable games.

Cuz has to learn that there are no such thing a throw away fouls in his case. We need him. Teams have no answer for him.

Entertaining game nonetheless.

Ya giving up corner 3s let alone any 3s and it's over.

I almost chose to pass on a post for this game, but then I thought, "What are you, some kind of rainy day poster who only speaks when the team embarrasses itself?" So while I maintain that the Kings laid a big egg in the Lakers game (which I personally found to be a big embarrassment), this game they lost and yet didn't embarrass themselves at all! Go Kings!
That said, I long for the day when Cuz learns to play with efficiency. What does that mean? It means you value every possession, minimize mistakes, and don't give up easy baskets due to arguing with a ref over a previous call while your teammates are left with 4 players to defend 5. I don't think Cuz did that on the national team, did he? (probably because he couldn't get away with it...)
