It was quite clear that Westphal was trying to get Cousins to stay out of foul trouble as much as possible. For one, Cousins was never put in to rebound when free throws were taken. A little weird to see your center and point guard standing behind the 3 point line when free throws are being taken.

So is that the "downside" to the coach playing 11 players 10+ minutes? If so, I'll stop complaining about Westphal's rotations right now. In fact, let's see if he can figure out a way to give Antoine Wright some more time on Friday.
p.s. that girl is super hot. Where do I remember her from . That weird dating movie with the penguins. and the stoner brother....aah crap I cant remember!

It's not so much Beno's bad shooting percentage. It's more the percentage Beno allows the other team! If you give the other team lay ups, then your team is bound to lose...

I think that was being done to make sure Cousins was back on defense and already in position to defend the rim. Maybe conditioning?

I saw it more as a way to ensure that Cousins wouldn't pick up ticky tack fouls while boxing out or something

Sometimes it depends on the FT shooter too. If they are a high % FT shooter you can put a big in the backcourt. It could have been to give him a rest too.

I don't see DMC picking up too many of those fouls so I'm not sure what you were seeing. He gets loose ball fouls but it is rarely when he is going for a loose ball, more or less they are touch fouls on defense.

I like to start Dalembart at PG if it gets us more of Jessica Alba.
