Goran Dragic informed the Suns he will NOT resign this offseason.

I think Suns may take a combo of Darren Collison and Stauskas for Dragic. No Ben in any deal, since Dragic can walk after this season.

Collison give PHO a potent 3 guard rotation without breaking the bank for the 3rd Guard.

The Kings would have a pretty good big 3 on DMC, Gay and Dragic.

Yahoo Sources: Suns much more focused on discussing Dragic deals w/ Celtics, Rockets, Kings, among others, than any teams on guard's list.

Really nervous to see what we offer for him.

This could go poorly. I'm not keen on giving away all our assets for a guy who is determined to walk after 30 games. Hopefully Miami will step up with Luol Deng and a pick and we can forget about the whole thing.

Can't see a deal being made with out at least an agreement in place from Dragic to sign a long term extension this summer. Risk isn't worth it IMO.

And he would come here??????? Really?

They could sell him on the shiny new arena, George Karl!!! Pete tells the fans to trust him to get this right and sells us hope and most of us buy it (season ticket renewals) why cant he work his same magic on Dragic?

Phoenix now "actively" shopping IT in hopes of saving a relationship with Dragic. What a soap opera in the desert.

He has already come out and said hes gone no matter what happens.

How do you know we're not part of his 7 team he prefers?

I view the Kings as a great destination for free agents. George Karl...Demarcus Cousins...new arena....Demarcus Cousins...and MLS. I think Karl coaching this team raises our team about 300% in terms of desirability. I think Karl could work something out between Cuz-Rudy-Goran.

Admittedly, I don't know that. But it's easy to be gunshy. We're a bit short on fungible assets as it is - Cousins goes nowhere and Gay can't be traded (for now). The "assets" are really Ben, Nik, Darren, and this year's pick (which is in danger of going away). I really don't want to see us come into the offseason with Cousins, Gay, and then a huge list of question marks. Dragic, who would be overpaid or gone, no pick, no Ben, maybe no Nik or Darren. I'm all for doing well in this next 30 games but barring an absolute miracle our playoff chances are shot and I'd rather hold tight and try to build in the offseason than make a desperate burnout push for .500 now and find ourselves with bare cupboards come July.

Seriously? We have a city that lacks the environment many players prefer. We are perennial losers. Our front office has made a joke of itself this season. Karl should help. A good cornerstone like Cuz should help. But we are in no way perceived as a great destination.

I was half joking. Karl and Cousins would be the only reason why teams would want to come here. I think we have the power to convince a lot of FA that this team is heading into the right direction and we can offer them a huge part in it. Who knows if they'll sign here, but I think we could definitely convince a lot of FA about the direction of this team.

That's a great last sentence.

People don't understand that a great number of people prefer a city like Sacramento. In 1977, I had the option of moving from Camp Lejeune to anywhere in our country. I chose Sacramento and my wife, son, and I drove across country. I wanted to be here. It's not a fun drive and gives a person a lot of practice changing diapers in cornfields, gas stations, etc.

I would bet my house we aren't getting Dragic or Jackson.... but I think we can me a move as a 3rd team in a 3 team trade to try to find some good bench players.

Hard to beat Houston if they offer 1st/cannon/jones. I would not offer Ben at all

He has issues with Houston stemming from them trading him orignially and not picking up his player option etc, Even if Dragic gets over it Morey wont give up anything of value without a hard commitment to resign from Dragic.

Can someone explain to me this infatuation with Dragic? He's had 1, maybe 2 good seasons in his 7 year career and will be 29 before next season starts. He's a ball dominant guard that doesn't typically average more than 5 assists per game. He's just a taller Isaiah Thomas and probably a couple seasons away from being past his prime.

Worse yet, he's not an improvement on the defensive end. When this site had a love affair with Kyle Lowry the past couple years, at least he was known for defense along with his offensive prowess. It at least made some sense. I don't think this makes a lot of sense. This team needs willing passers, ball movement and improved defense - not more iso players. IMO, Collison is better for the role this teams needs it's PG to play. They just need depth behind him.

Who do we want to keep more - Collison or McLemore? I guess I'm torn. We still do have Sessions (who Karl can fix) to play behind limited minutes behind Dragic

Well the good thing is that IT has a thick skin, doesn't hold a grudge, and won't mind being shopped I'm sure - especially if the reason he is being shopped is to placate the ego of one of the other guys on the team who is better than him. There is almost no chance he holds this against Suns brass from now until eternity. Character guy. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the Suns locker room next year.

Agreed. Though, I don't even know that a miracle would get us to the playoffs. If we win all 30 games, we'd be 48-34. Phoenix won 48 games last season and did not make the playoffs. And a team that won 70% or more of it's games the last 3 seasons is currently sitting in the 9 spot as we approach the stretch run.

And we called it, right here. 7 months ago. Exactly this situation. Well done Phoenix!
