He is still the current GM and will have done all the scouting. A few years ago Portland let their GM draft after they fired him !

Actually, it should read, Petrie was at the Nike Summit Challenge. The game was last saturday! However, all the practices are open to the GM's and scouts for the entire preceeding week. And yes, Petrie was there!
