General purpose LP Blackout thread

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a legal way of getting Kings Games on TV without having cable TV?? Does the Internet's version of NBA League Pass broadcast Kings games if you live in Sacramento?? or are those games blacked out?? My Comcast Cable bill keeps going up and up. I only have internet and just regular cable without any premium channels and I'm paying $185.00 a month :(. The only reason I keep Comcast is for Football and Basketball. I can do without the football, but I need my Kings.........So any other means of legally getting the Kings games via the internet without having Comcast? and again I do live in Sacramento. If not, I may just have to pull the plug anyway and just listen to them on the radio........

Thanks

I always wanted to add that someone at work told me I can just subscribe to NBA League Pass (the internet version) and I should be able to watch the Kings there.....Just trying to find out if that's true or not.....

Yes, just get LP online. Can stream them from laptop to your tv if you like too.

But if I were you I'd also call comcast and get your bill lowered lol. I've done that a number of times, tell them it's too much and you'll take your business elsewhere if they don't give you the same deal they offer new customers. Worked every time for me. Then a year later, do it again.

My mom is on the same "plan". Its kinda comical, not least because it demonstrates they must be overcharging her by about 1/3 to be able to rediscount it back that far every time she calls to complain.

crap, I guess not :(...... League pass website says the following: "Based on your current location, you are unable to view live nationally broadcast games or live locally broadcast Sacramento Kings games. "
I guess my only option is calling comcast to see if they will lower my bill, if not I'll just have to listen to them on the radio..........

DirecTV Choice package special is $29.99/month for 2 years right now. Normally $39.99. This is the lowest package that includes CSNCA for Kings games. I have consolidated internet and phone that's $60/month. I'm sure there are some other fees, but that's way lower than $185 per month. Oh, you get NFL Sunday ticket too with it.

Just call Comcast go straight to cancel and they will try and save you with their current deal. I do this every year when my bill goes up and they never put me on a contract

I have cut the cord, and been cordless for about 4 years now, it has it's ups and downs. You can stream CSN live but you need to have a cable or satellite provider to log in. I just got upgraded to 6mbps on my DSL and I'm stoked!!!

I'm out of the area, so just paying Comcast does not help me watch the Kings. I hate LP's blackout restrictions. If the Kings play on national television, the Warriors, Clippers, or the Lakers, it's blacked out for me. I ended up doing International LP via a VPN and now I get no blackouts. LP cost $120/yr. VPN is $60/yr

Can someone please explain why this game in blacked out for me on BOTH NBA TV and the. CSN-CA alternate channel?????
