It was a good look for Tyreke, as in he was open for a while, but with Tyreke you don't get a pullup jumper. If that was Beno he'd have gotten a wide open mid range shot.

So no screens or anything, just give him the ball and do a turnaround that early in the shotclock with 10 seconds remaining. LULZ this is too funny but depressing that we can't draw up a normal play.

I doubt that's what Westy drew up. He's not an idiot. I think Thornton just rushed that, for no apparent reason. Similar to Omri forcing the 3 earlier this year, they're inexperienced in these situations and it sometimes shows.

Yeah. Westphal may not be the most brilliant coach but I highly doubt the play was "Get Marcus the ball, let him dribble it out to the 3 point line, get trapped and then force up a 3 with still considerable time left on the clock"

I personally would have liked to see the standard give the ball to Landry on the three point line and have him drive to the hoop play.

Im watching a replay of the game right now and Thornton looked pissed when PW was drawing up.the final play. The assistant coach had to put his arm around him, bring him back to the huddle and settle him down. Maybe im just tipsy but I think thornton hoisted that shot so fast because he had no.confidence in westphals play call.

Maybe the play wasn't drawn for him to get the shot, and he wasn't happy bout it. NOT GOOD FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE REALLY GOOD DEVELOPING CHEMISTRY A WEEK AGO!
