Free agency mega thread 2025 edition!

I think Dame is happy to be back in Portland for the foreseeable future. He left his wife and thought he was gonna be able to take the kids with him and probably didn't know that Oregon don't play like that. His brother runs 7on7 football here as well. Gonna be nice for him I think. Hopefully great for his kids.

I'm going to make a comment. I'm extremely disappointed in the moves so far so I'll say something that would make me excited about the season.

Let's go all in on defense I remember that year 2014-2015 where the team wasn't that great but they were amazing on defense and I miss that.

Don't care about offense give me a hardworking defensive team

And the good thing is literally all the defensive players on this team are young. The future looks defense first already.

If Ayton wasn’t delusional and likely lazy, I’d want him to backup Sabonis. Unfortunately he complains about “touches” and always finds a reason to be late to practice or miss it entirely.
There was a pretty nasty hit piece put out on him Monday from a Portland reporter about him stomping around, pounding chairs, etc. But his run of good form coincided with the Blazers best run this season. He's an Arizona guy so I usually wish them well but I hope he helps wreck whatever possible fragile chemistry there is between James and Luka.

So. Much. Hate.

Also...
BEAT LA!!!

Interesting, George is trying to throw his name out there, taking a swing
Wasn’t Malik to Detroit Matt George’s scoop? No wonder he’s still trying to keep it alive. Yesterday Dlo and KC were saying “we want to help our boy Matt George but..” when they were saying they thought Monk to Detroit was dead after the Duncan Robinson s/t

I don’t think Detroit is going with Monk after LaVert, and getting Jaden Ivey back. There is still Sasser. Think they’ll look for exceptions to help turn this is to a s/t.

Hope he’s right about Kuminga but I’m not sure Matt George is that plugged in

GS lol. This only works if you actually "like" the player you're trying to act like a star and is so integral to your plans, yet you're shopping him?

Time to see if Perry is worth his salt. Especially if he's offering a reasonable deal, they really going to keep a player they don't want?
The Warriors trying to convince everyone Kuminga is a vital part of their plans while spending the last two seasons doing everything they possibly can to make him want to leave their team is certainly something.
