Four-Team Trade On The Verge Of Completion

I'm still bitter that he had to leave LA because he actually fit in here. He let his newbie agent F that up (passive zombie decision). He's got a couple of strong indications (his last two stops) that he's best suited as a complimentary player, not a focal point. We'll see if Paul helps deflect some pressure from him. God knows Ariza won't have the ball in his hands there except for when Chris passes it to him.

yeah i'm a bit surprised ariza didn't take the offer the lakers gave him. he's the perfect fit on that team. play hard nosed d & spot up for 3s. he was the difference maker in that series against orlando. if he didn't show up, the lakers might not have won that series.

You're on a picture kick today, huh?

I was just never a fan of Mark Jackson's. But he's definitely the best point guard they ever had.

I'm not gonna sit here and say he's the greatest PG of all time or anything, but the man got the job done. 3rd all-time in assists is hard to argue against, regardless of how many games played. Had to love his little floater too

Given the state of Indiana's PG situation before the trade and the job that Collison did in NO last year when Paul went down, Collison will help Indiana right now.

Point taken. I think it's going to take him a while though to have the impact of an Ariza. At this stage, Collison is more like the NFL qb who is servicable and won't lose you games. But he's not a guy who is going to win you games by himself either. Like you said though, he's better than what Indiana has had.

Nothing to argue with there. I just didn't enjoy watching him play. It was actually kind of painful sometimes. I also disliked the Pacers.

Me too actually. I never started liking the Pacers until they drafted Granger. Didn't like the Hansbrough pick last year, but I'm actually looking forward to their season now with Collison on board. Still soooo much more excited about the upcoming Kings season of course :)
