Ford approaches Kings
Chris Ford, a Sixers pro personnel scout, interviewed for an assistant coaching position with the Sacramento Kings.
A source confirmed that the onetime Villanova star, who was interim Sixers coach in 2003-04, visited with new Kings coach Reggie Theus in Sacramento this week.
Ford, who also has been a head coach with the Celtics, the Bucks and the Clippers, spent 10 seasons as an NBA player and is credited with hitting the league's first three-point shot Oct. 12, 1979, for the Celtics against the Rockets.
Ford could not be reached for comment.
