Team Value1 $ 330 mil (#10)
The Sacramento Kings
are owned by Gavin Maloof and Joseph Maloof,

The skinny
Plans for a new arena for the Sacramento Kings have stalled over financing. The casino-operating Maloof family, which owns the team, wants to cap its costs to 20% of the projected $350 million it would take to build a new arena. But Mayor Heather Fargo has said that there is not sufficient support from the public to get the two-thirds vote necessary to pass legislation for the higher taxes necessary to fund the remaining 80%. The team will need a new building within the next five years if it is to remain one of the league's elite small-market franchises. Major corporate sponsors are Anheuser-Busch (nyse: BUD), Cache Creek Casino, Raley's Supermarket, Verizon Communications (nyse: VZ).
Naming rights sponsor is ARCO.
