Congrats to Slim's Yellow Jackets, as Georgia Tech defeated #2 North Carolina to advance to their final round.

Go Jackets!!

LOL.....surprised at the Yellow Jackets?....no way. If you detected any hint at surprise, it was surprise that North Carolina still holds the #2 ranking, a ranking they have not deserved in quite some time....IMHO.

G. Tech and Syracuse are the teams to watch for. They've got talent to match any of the higher seeds, but they've got more tourney-tested juniors and seniors.

Hey Slim, since you seem like you know a lot abut GT (alumni i guess?) can you tell me what happened to Marvin Lewis after he left GT? Did he go to the nbdl or is he in the nba or some other league? His father was my old history teacher and basketball coach in high school (i used to get A's just because i was on the team) and he could never stop talking about him. Just wondering...thanx.

Marvin Lewis, outstanding student and athlete, graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2004, after leading the basketball team all the way to the semi-finals of the National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament. His career achievements on the court put him in the Georgia Tech record book for total games played and career scoring. Marvin won the Tech team's top student athlete award in 2003 and was twice named to the regional Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic team for men's basketball in his four-year college career. Now 22, he is employed by an accounting firm in Atlanta, Georgia, and is studying to become a certified public accountant.
