The Brett Favre era in Green Bay apparently came to an end late Wednesday as the longtime Packers star quarterback was traded to the New York Jets, FoxSports.com reported.

Very disappointed in Brett Favre. He had his day. I think this is a slap in the face to every Green Bay Packer fan. I know that's an old-fashioned way of looking at things, but I hope he falls on his face.

sucks for brett, i thought for sure he'd end up in tampa, it seemed like such a good opportunity (as much as that would suck for jeff garcia, who i think deserves to start down there). it will be interesting to see how short it takes for him to regret unretiring when he realizes even he can't make the jets not suck.

Favre is a clown, I have no doubt in my mind that he will suck miserably in new york and will play more like the favre of recent years. Last year was a fluke, yes a fluke! Plus, the AFC is alot tougher than nfc, just watch him chuck the ball right to opposing DBs in typical favre-esque fashion.

Obviously wasn't an option. I don't know how ownership could have communicated that more clearly. He wants to play, we'll see how much he likes playing, I guess.

Can't blame anyone but Brett himself for all the craziness. I don't have a problem with him though. Seems he really did just want to play football, and really play.
