ESPN: Syracuse probing agent's recruitment of Donte Greene

I don't think Donte is fragile enough for this to harm him. If he is stricken from the Syracuse/NCAA records, it would only hurt his Basketball HOF status, which is neither here nor there. It is much more important for Donte to recognize why and how this will affect him in the future, and move on from it. If he sees any PT on friday, we will know.

Am I reading this right? Donte's uncle received a loan from an agent he didn't sign with? If the agent thought it would get Donte to sign with him, then I guess he really screwed up. Broke the rules and still didn't get the contract.

This is part of a bigger story about the Ceruzzi group that ESPN.com ran, I think yesterday. The group also paid off Kevin Love's AAU coach (technically donated to the team, I think) to the tune of $200K because the coach said he could get them an "in" to Love.

Didn't work with Love, and it apparently didn't work with Greene either. Greene apparently hasn't had any comment on the situation, but there's nothing yet to suggest Greene did anything improper. The agency, yes. The uncle, possibly. But if it went on behind Greene's back, no big whoop.

Exactly what I was thinking.
