Orlando -- looked dangerous at the end of last year, and have the inside presence to be a serious threat in the playoffs if it comes together. Still very young though -- why they are a darkhorse rather than an established powerhouse.

indeed. this could be a very good team in a couple of years. howard, milicic, nelson, redick, ariza...these are all young guys with tons of upside. dwight howard, especially. this guy's a super-stud.

"buddy you're a boy, make a big noise, playin' in the street, gonna be a big man someday." i think that sums up the potential of some of the magic's youth.

my pic was orlando b4 i even saw the choices, is a dark horse a team that u think will fly under the radar and end up with a low playoff seed..or something like that?

Orlando:

Howard - the next Duncan (although the Robinson comparisons are coming too)
Darko - can be easily beat Rasho
Nelson - the next TP?

Then sign Carter next summer to be your Ginobili, then you've got a Spurs-esque dynasty potential.

Orlando. Something tells me this is the year in which Dwight Howard really takes the next step up. They have good roleplayers and many actually have them in the playoff picture and not as a darkhorse. After Miami and Detroit (even they have problems) the east is really up for grabs. The West is a different story. Spots 1-3 are not in our range or anyone else's not called Suns, Spurs or Dallas. I do find it amusing that people think the Lakers can be a 50+ win team. Thats a tall order for a team that has Kobe, Odom, Vlad, and...and...and who else (get my point?)?
