Interesting. Both sides appear to want to end the luxury tax, the league wants shorter contract guarantee's (currently seven years max) and reduced player raises. Not sure what the issue is with player escrow taxes. Perhaps a better "cap-ologist" than I could offer a better speculation on whether shorter contract guarantee's (I had heard a four year proposal), combined with Bird exception rights would mean for the Kings/Peja talks.
