Duncan out with ankle injury

Duncan just severely sprained his ankle against the Pistons. Does anyone have any news about how long he will be out?

They just showed it for the people who are watching the Grizzles vs. Suns game.. He turned his right ankle and x-rays are negative.

Ooh boy.

Now for the Kings tie in -- this sort of thing could make it all the more critical to hold off Memphis for the #6 spot -- #7 might get San Antonio rather than Phoenix in Rnd 1. Ouch.

Dude that happend like 10 min ago... there will not be any statement made untill after the game at least. Sorry for TD but it DOES open up things in the West.

Well, for Phoenix at least. Nobody else will catch up to them in time and he should be back for the playoffs.

they just said he will miss at least a few games, maybe more depending on the severity of the re-sprain. He might have another mri this week.

I thought they were going to do the Pistons-Spurs game on ABC...but they didn't. Instead it's the Grizz-Suns game. :/

Even if Spurs don't have Duncan for a while, he'll probably be back in playoffs? Depending on how bad his ankle is.

Too manhy question marks, how bad a sprain? How bad a runthey go on, who gets matched in the first and what kind of condition TD in in when he gets back (remember he sprainedthe same ankleearlier this season) BTW as we speak Pheonix is trugging against Memephis. Lot of play left in the season.

EDIT: The ABC announcers jsut speculated that TD will be out for 2 games... if so never mind therest of the post.

In my opinion, it was bound to happen to Duncan sooner or later. Next, it will be Nash, Ginobili, Nowitzski, Allen, or Stoudemeyer. Everyone eventually gets their turn in the barrel. Mark my words, the Kings' season aint over with yet.

Ugly way to win anyting, but it's not like the Kings have never had their dreams dashed by the injury bug.

second grade ankle sprain

out atleast 2 games.

if he's only gonna be out for 2 games that's not so bad for the spurs. their next 2 games are vs new york and indiana.

EDIT: anyone know if this is something like kobe's injury earlier this season? cause kobe missed about a month. and i think that was a "severe ankle sprain."

update

Bill Davidson offered the Spurs to have Duncan flown to S.A. on his private plane, and the Spurs accepted. Pop said "Duncan will probably be out for a while," so they're going to have to make do without him.

2nd degree sprain? That's not so bad. He should be back pretty soon if that's the case. The Fox Sports headline says "Duncan suffers gruesome ankle injury," I was expecting Joe Theissman or something.
~~

uh oh!

this is like the second time this year that he's sprained his ankle...he's really gonna have sit out some games now...

I don't know if Manu is back but he's gonna have to come back to help TP out...who may i add is hurting himself

This year SO SO SO SO SO SO many injuries ::shakes head::

Im sure Spurs fans are ready to slits their wrists....

They'll be okay though...the team i mean :)

Manu's back. He's playing right now vs Pistons. The commenators are saying that it's going to be tough for Spurs to just rely on Manu since Manu just got back from a groin injury?

The human contusion!

Doesn't matter. They can beat Phx without HCA. He'll be back before the playoffs even though he's somewhat of a wuss.

Yeah, there were some more injuries! Mobley, Williamson, and Skinner. The Kings never get a break.

Ray Allen left tonight's game with a shoulder injury in the 1st quarter and didn't return.

I'm glad you noted that last part

and GSW have definetly been rolling...lets see if they can get past Dallas on Wednesday

Golden State still has that Golden State taint.

I want to see how they do with D Biddy over a full season and I'd like to see how much Mullin messes them up over the summer. I'm not too shocked that they're playing better, but it could be a honeymoon period. These are the Warriors we're talking about here... They're cursed.

^personally I'm waiting how long its gonna take before Davis's back is a problem again...back problems never go away...its only a matter of time --once again

injures suck

we have 4 of our best players injured at the wrong time

How the hell does a ref 2 feet away from a play and clearly watching the ball make an incorrect possession call in the last 30 secs of a 3-pt game? Damned incompetence.
